Any really virtuous remedies for insomnia?

Has anyone found anything that works really well for insomnia? Not necessarily man unable to stumble asleep, but being inept to STAY asleep, and waking up every hour?

Well I went through a bout of that a few years hindmost. Awake at 3am, 5am etc.
It was to do near a bit of mental stress after a parting of the ways beside my wife.Oh, an amicable seperation, but
I thought about going to my GP for sleepy pills, and be correctly told that they only back you to go to sleep, afterwards wear off whilst you are sleeping.
I invented my own solution.
It is call a bottle of Jack Daniels.
No, not the whole bottle, but a goodly amount near coke at bedtime.
Slept like the proverbial log.
Perhaps not the best method, but no impair done.
I now sleep well, as we are still good freinds.
I should not reccommend booze, but it does the trick.

Ultimately, the likelihood of you wake is a result of stress/things on your mind. Establishing a routine of yoga/breathing exercises/meditation will (not immediately) give you control and the cleverness to unwind when you need.

Due to own flesh and blood illness stress and household business stress things that I need to operate with, not sleeping have become the norm for me. Well I find that the best instrument to get a fighting fit relaxed feeling which will oblige you sleep better is to exercise regularly, yoga is excellent because it really helps you relax and de-stress but it doesn't own to be yoga if you don't want it to be, anything that makes you have a feeling vibrant without knock you out (it's important not to over do it!). although yoga have positions which are specifically for doing right before bed time because they really sustain sleep so its worth checking out...
also another good tip that you may want to try one hours of darkness is to listen to yourself breathing when you're in bed! seriously... close your eyes and pretend that you're asleep and lately listen to your breathing, try and concentrate only on the nouns of the breathing in and out, its late calming and usually help to fall asleep. it might be relaxing ample to keep you asleep. righteous luck!
